Explore a Universe of Stories with us during the 2019 Summer Reading Challenge. This year, things kick off with an afternoon of all-ages events Wednesday, June 26.
- At 4 p.m., balloon artist Daryl Baldwin will start creating whimsical sculptures while guests rub elbows with the one-and-only Llama Llama!
- Enjoy a read-in at 4:30 p.m. and get a jump on your Summer Reading goals.
- Things start rocking on The Green at 7 p.m. with The Wheel, a six-piece band covering mostly Grateful Dead tunes. Concert moves inside if it rains.
Summer Reading sign-up also begins June 26, and you can get started checking off your reading milestones right away. Adults, teens and children can sign up in person or online through a link on our home page. All summer long, we’ll be hosting programs that are out of this world, and our bookmark design contest is sure to inspire your inner artist.
